Broken Arrow Offers Veteran-Focused Career Support

In Broken Arrow, we understand that transitioning from military service to civilian life can be challenging. That's why the Work In BA Career & Workforce Center has developed a specialized job search tool tailored for veterans.

This tool is designed to simplify your transition into civilian employment by aligning your military occupation with civilian career opportunities. Here's how it works, veterans can enter their branch, status, and military occupation code into the tool. The tool generates a list of careers that align with the valuable skills you acquired while serving our nation.

Broken Arrow's Commitment to Veterans and Their Service to Our Nation

veteran and civilian shake hands

Broken Arrow takes immense pride in its long-standing tradition of honoring and supporting veterans. Our City recognizes the sacrifices and contributions of service members, fostering a welcoming and inclusive community for those who have served.

The Broken Arrow Veterans Center, a 4,600-square-foot facility established in 2021, is a testament to this commitment. It is home to local chapters of esteemed veteran organizations, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Blue Star Mothers.

This dedicated space is regularly used for meetings of local veteran groups and is available for public event rentals, offering two versatile meeting spaces and a convenient catering kitchen. Discover upcoming events and gatherings at the Broken Arrow Veterans Center: Calendar of Events.
